Bridgeport News: Dirt Bikes Impede Firetrucks

Silver Alert

A Silver Alert has been issued for Sokombi Mwilambwe, who described as a 29 year-old, female who is 5’-5” tall, 220 pounds with black hair and brown eyes.  She was last seen wearing black top with a gray sweater and black pants with a white bag and black suitcase.  She was last seen on October 4, 2019, on Water Street in Norwalk.    She suffers from mental health issues and is endangered.  Anyone with any information about her whereabouts or who observes her is asked to contact the Norwalk Police Department at 203-854-3114 or dial 911. Bridgeport News: This Is Only A Drill

Bridgeport, CT – Mayor Ganim announces that this Wednesday, October 2nd, 2019 from 9:00am-1:00pm the City of Bridgeport Emergency Operations Center will be participating in a Full-Scale Exercise with Sikorsky Aircraft.   This exercise is conjunction with the city and Sikorsky to assess emergency preparedness plans in the case of a transportation accident. The Full-Scale drill with EOC and Sikorsky will be conducted as realistically as possible to test the city’s notification processes, response process, well as emergency planning and support process.  The Emergency Operations Center will be activating the Bridgeport EOC VEOCI program for this exercise.
