Bridgeport News: Rape At The Bus Station

UPDATE: Police say officers responded to a female with difficulty breathing at the train station. The 19 year old female victim was possibly raped across from the bus station in an abandoned lot.. Detectives were notified and went to speak with the victim. Westport News: $2,875 Handbag Stolen

#Westport CT--On 05/21/2019, Westport officers were dispatched to a local retailer on a report of a stolen handbag valued at approximately $2,875.00. Store surveillance video captured the female suspect concealing the bag under her coat before exiting the store. Staff recognized the suspect as a regular customer, Deborah Bunch. An arrest warrant application was submitted by the investigating officer and later approved. On 06/09/2019, Bunch turned herself in at headquarters on the outstanding warrant. She was charged with 53a-124 Larceny 3 rd and released after posting $10,000 bond. Bridgeport News: Man Shot

HARTFORD, CT – Governor Ned Lamont and Connecticut State Department of Education (CSDE) Commissioner Dianna R. Wentzell today announced that CSDE has teamed up with the College Board to launch a supplemental pool of scholarship funds available to students from lower-income families starting with the class of 2020. #Bridgeport CT-- Officers were dispatched to Newfield Park on a report of a child abandonment. R/O was at the intersection of Carnegie Avenue and Boston Avenue when the initial call was dispatched. Officers responded to Newfield park, Bridgeport where Officer Rodriguez was already on scene, Rodriguez confirmed the location of a lost child at the park bench nearest to the water park and playground.  Officer Rodriguez was observed sitting on the park bench surrounded by at least 10 small children and about 5 adults and was assessing the injuries on a child, and asking a series of questions to the adults on scene.  A gash was visible  on right cheek of the small child.
