05:59am--#Fairfield CT--The Fairfield Police Department received a report of a motor vehicle accident involving a single car into a tree on Tunxis Hill Cutoff near Fieldcrest Dr. Upon arrival of emergency personnel, they found a 1999 Honda Civic after striking a large tree and the vehicle sustained heavy front end damage as a result. A only occupant/driver identified as Shawn Connery Charles (DOB 08/30/1990)of 145 Cowles St, Bridgeport was found ejected from the front seat and was found face up between the front and rear seats in a semi-responsive condition. Charles’ was transported by AMR Ambulance to St. Vincent’s Medical Center where he is listed in critical condition. The crash is currently under investigation by the crash investigation unit.
Westport News: Burglary, Pursuit, Manhunt, Capture!
4:50pm--#Westport CT--The Westport Police Department received a call from a resident reporting that they had returned home to find an unknown intruder inside their residence. Once confronted, the suspect left the residence without incident. A description of the suspect was obtained and given out to responding units. Officer Morrison observed a person fitting the description operating a black pick-up truck and leaving the immediate area. He attempted to pull the vehicle over, but the suspect vehicle fled south on the Sherwood Island Connector at a high rate of speed. The suspect vehicle attempted to ram pursuing officers prior to merging onto I-95 North. The Connecticut State Police was made aware of the pursuit as Westport Officers continued behind the suspect northbound on I-95. Westport Officers lost sight…

Bridgeport News: Over 100 Homeless After Apartment Fire
Over 100 people are without a home after a 36 unit apartment complex was destroyed by fire early this morning at 215 Charles Street. The fire started as a car fire in the parking garage under the complex. The fire quickly spread to the apartments toward the back of the building. Firefighters used a ladder truck to rescue people on the third floor. Everyone was able to evacuate the building. This woman was unable to locate her cat and is fearing the worst. One resident was treated for smoke inhalation and one firefighter received minor injuries. By 8am firefighters evacuated the building to attacked the fire from the outside and evacuated the apartment building next door.. A short time later…
