#Bridgeport CT-- On November 19 Acting Police Chief Rebeca Garcia along with Captain James Baraja said in a memo that "Effective immediately all OT in the Detective Bureau is shut down with the following 2 exceptions (Violent Crime) and Homicide Callbacks-Homicide related investigations within 24 hours of the crime. All other OT needs pre-authorization." Many believe the detective bureau has been singled out due to a pending lawsuit Captain Brian Fitzgerald has with the city over the legality of the acting chief's position. Hartford, CT –Attorney General William Tong today urged the Public Utilities Regulatory Authority to deny a change of ownership sought by Frontier Communications. In a brief filed today, Attorney General Tong raised concerns regarding the lack of transparency around the new ownership, and a complete lack of commitment to date to Connecticut’s consumers and workforce. Frontier—currently in bankruptcy—is seeking to shed more than $10 billion in debt and obligations through bankruptcy, followed by the appointment of a new board of directors. The corporation has asserted the change would be “imperceptible” to its consumers, yet it has failed make any commitments to its Connecticut consumers or workforce, or even identify the new post-restructuring management or directors. On November 16th Fairfield Police arrested BIANCA GARNETT, AGE 29 with the followingcharges: Conspiracy to Commit Prostitution (2 Counts)• Criminal Attempt to Commit Prostitution• ProstitutionFairfield Police arrested and charged Garnett with prostitution following a several month-longan investigation into illegal activity in a Fairfield neighborhood. In July, the Police Department beganreceiving complaints from concerned citizens of what they allegedly believed was drug transactionsand prostitution centered around Garnett’s Rosemere Avenue home.Police had recently completed an investigation into this neighborhood in May, which culminated inthe arrest of Bianca Garnett on May 28th. (Westport, CT) On the evening of Sunday November 22, 2020, the WestportPolice Department began investigating a missing person complaint involving ajuvenile received from the Saugatuck area of town.On that date, it was reported by the juvenile’s mother than upon briefly exitingtheir residence around 5:30pm, she did not return. Since that time, attempts tocontact her directly have been unsuccessful. The missing juvenile is identified as Gerlyne Springer, age 17, She is described as a light skinned black female, 5'5" tall, weighing approximately 250 lbs. She is further described as currently having long braidedextensions in her hair that is colored both brown and purple. She was last seen wearing dark clothing and glasses. Fairfield News: Accident Reconstruction To Close Old Post Road

On Friday 11/20/20 at 5:34pm Fairfield Police received a 911 call reporting a motor vehicle had struck apedestrian in the crosswalk in front of 636 Old Post Road. A witness to the accident called 911.It was determined that Richard Zogheb, a 56 year old Fairfield resident, was operating his vehicle westbound on the Old Post Road and struck Donna Schmidt, a 65 year old women walking in the crosswalkon the Old Post Road. Schmidt was struck with the front end of Zogheb’s SUV. Zogheb immediatelypulled over and is cooperating with the investigation.Schmidt was found lying on her back in the roadway of Old Post Road when first responders arrived andwas transported to St. Vincent’s Medical Center with serious physical injuries.…

At approximately 6:53pm on Thursday August 13, 2020, officers responded to UltaBeauty, 1365 Post Road East, on a report of a shoplifting incident. Employees of the storereported that three individuals entered and had begun loading up a hand basket withnumerous bottles of cologne and perfume. The three suspects then ran out of the store to awaiting vehicle without paying for the merchandise, fleeing the immediate area prior toofficers’ arrival. The total loss due to theft was estimated to be over $6,000.00. Throughinvestigation, that included the review of surveillance footage as well as information sharingwith other law enforcement agencies, detectives were able to identify the three suspects in thisincident.
