Westport News: Larceny Arrests

Between July 6, 2021, and July 7, 2021, Westport Police officers took two separatereports of tires and rims being stolen off vehicles. The first incident occurred at the SaugatuckTrain Station on July 6 at approximately 3:00 p.m. The second tire/rim theft occurred at theparking garage located at 21 Wilton Road on July 7 between 1:30 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. As a result of informational sharing with area police departments that experiencedsimilar crimes Shawn Oliphant was developed as a suspect. #Norwalk CT-- On September 21st, 2021 at approximately 1:50 p.m., the suspect picturedrobbed the Fairfield County Bank at 121 New Canaan Ave. The suspect waswearing blue latex gloves, a hard hat, sunglasses and a mask resembling a tiger’smouth. The suspect passed the teller a note demanding cash and that he wasarmed. The suspect did not display a weapon, but manipulated his backpack tomake it seem like he was armed. Extended Application Deadline for American Rescue Plan Act Funding for Small Businesses
