Legislation Included in Package to Increase Transparency and Strengthen Markets

Bridgeport News: Woman Shot

#Bridgeport CT--On June 18, 2021, at approximately 12:40 a.m. Bridgeport Police Officers were dispatched to an assault with a firearm in the 400 block of Trumbull Avenue despite the mobile command center parked a block away. A verbal and physical dispute between two Bridgeport women occurred in the parking lot at that location.As a result of the dispute 27-year-old Lanetta Parker was shot one time in the arm (non-life-threatening). Bridgeport News: Increased Patrols Fail

Yesterday, the mayor's office released a press release saying: "Mayor Ganim joined Bridgeport Police Department Acting Chief Rebeca Garcia, Park City Communities Executive Director Jillian Baldwin, and other City officials to announce $100,000 allocated towards an increase in community police presence at Park City Communities; particularly Trumbull Gardens, Charles F. Greene Homes, and P .T. Westport News: Mother-Child Found Dead

POLICE UPDATE: WESTPORT POLICE DEPARTMENT INVESTIGATING UNTIMELY DEATHS (Update 6/18/21) The adult female who was found deceased in the home at 1 Lyndale Park hasbeen positively identified as forty-six-year-old Tracy Do. The deceased juvenile also resided atthe above address and is Ms. Do’s daughter. On June 18, 2021, the two deceased individuals were brought to the State Medical Examiner’soffice in Farmington to be autopsied. The Medical Examiner determined that the seven-year-old had drowned and ruled her death a homicide. The Medical Examiner ruled Ms. Do’s deatha suicide. STRATFORD – Mayor Laura R. Hoydick announced today that Captain Jermaine B. On 06-17-2021 Kevin Beason, age 23 of Stratford was arrested in connection with a shooting thatoccurred on Garibaldi Avenue in Stratford. The shooting took place on 06-01-2021. Beason was arrestedby warrant and subsequently held on a $250,000 dollar bond. He is scheduled to appear in BridgeportCourt on 07-15-2021.
