His interest in news spread to become the communities breaking news leader in Connecticut’s Fairfield County. He strongly believes that the public has right to know what is happening in their backyard and that government needs to be transparent. Steve also likes promoting local businesses.

HARTFORD, CT) – Governor Ned Lamont announced that since the Connecticut Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) implemented the ability for residents to renew their licenses over the internet earlier this year, the agency processed 85,370 online renewals between the months of January and May. In comparison, the agency processed 60,377 renewals in-person at DMV branch offices during this same period, demonstrating that the choice to renew licenses online is quickly becoming the preferred method for Connecticut residents. Bridgeport News: Police Involved Shooting

UPDATE: On June 15, 2021 at approximately 10:12pm, a Bridgeport police officer assigned to the federal Safe Streetstask force was involved in a shooting in the area of Main St. and Catherine St. in the city of Bridgeport. The victim was transported to the hospital, treated for non life-threatening injuries, and released. Connecticut State Police personnel were not involved in this incident. The Connecticut State Police Eastern District Major Crimes Squad has assumed this investigation at the request of the Bridgeport State’s Attorney’s Office. The Bridgeport State’s Attorney requested that the Stamford State’s Attorney oversee the investigation. Bridgeport News: State Street Is Homicide #7

On June 14, 2021, at approximately 7:41 p.m. Bridgeport Police responded to the 800 block of State Street on a ShotSpotter activation and citizens’ reports of shots fired.  At approximately 7:43 p.m. responding officers were updated with reports of a motor vehicle accident at the intersection of Park Avenue & State Street. Upon arrival, officers located a MV accident on State Street just west of its intersection with Park Avenue.  The operator of a black Honda Accord was involved in the MV accident.  The operator was observed to be suffering from multiple gun-shot wounds.  Medics were called and transported the victim to Saint Vincent’s Hospital.  Unfortunately, the victim died at the hospital.  No additional victims have come forward.
