Police are searching for a male suspect driving a red moped who fled a traffic stop on the Post Road. The suspect, described as wearing a black mask, blue jeans, and carrying multiple bags, dragged a Milford Police Officer during the encounter. The Ansonia Police Department arrested Michael Bernaud, age 27, of Ansonia for his involvement in a child pornography investigation. Bernaud turned himself in after a warrant was obtained following a lengthy investigation by Detective Mark Clifford. Bernaud was charged with Possession of Child Pornography, two counts of Enticing a Minor by Computer, and two counts of Risk of Injury to a Minor. He is being held on a $150,000 bond and will be presented today, 10/9/2024, at Derby Superior Court for arraignment.

Trumbull Police arrested local suspects as they attempted to flee the scene of a burglary to a van on Lindeman Drive during the early morning hours on Tuesday, October 8, 2024. Reynaldo Ayala, age 23, and Nyleah Ramos, age 22, both of Berkshire Avenue, Bridgeport, were apprehended by police as they attempted to flee from police on a scooter. At approximately 12:00 AM, Trumbull Police were called to investigate an active burglary in progress involving one of the work trucks on the business property of 30 Lindeman Drive. On October 7, 2024, detectives from the Norwalk Police Department’s Special Victim’s Unit arrested 54-year-old Edgar Teque-Ramirez. The investigation, which spanned several months, led to an arrest warrant based on probable cause and the facts of the case. Teque-Ramirez was charged with Sexual Assault in the 4th Degree and Risk of Injury to a Child. The investigation focused on an incident from 2021 involving Teque-Ramirez and a minor. He was arrested without incident. Teque-Ramirez, a resident of Norwalk, was held on a $75,000 bond and is due in court on October 8, 2024.

The operator refused to stop and instead engaged the detectives in a pursuit. During the chase, the operator was seen tossing a black plastic bag from the vehicle while entering the southbound ramp to I-95 at exit 31. After a short distance on I-95, the operator eventually pulled over and stopped the vehicle. Detectives identified the driver as Andre McBride of Bridgeport.
