Staples HS 1979 Class Reunion

Staples High School Class of 1979 would like to announce its 40th Class Reunion. The Reunion will be held on the weekend of June 21-23, 2019. The Main event is the Party Like It's 1979 Reunion Party which will take place on Saturday, June 22 from 6:30-10:30 at the Westport Woman’s Club. The party will include an open bar, music and heavy hors d’ oeuvres. Tickets are available online and will cost $110. The weekend will also include a Welcome Party on Friday night at the Black Duck with the band the 5 O’Clocks, featuring our own John Lamb and Paula Gallo. Westport News: Celtic Ticket Sinks Burglar

#Westport CT-- On 12/26/2018 at approximately 11:00am, officers were dispatched to a Charles Street office building on a report of a burglary. Four office suites were burglarized after the suspect kicked in the doors. Investigators later found physical evidence linking Jeff Lubin, 30, of Providence, Rhode Island, to the crime scenes. One of the businesses, a ticket retailer, reported a Celtics ticket had been stolen. Lubin later posted the stolen ticket for sale on a social media page. An arrest warrant application was submitted for Lubin and later approved. On 03/25/219, Lubin was taken into custody in Rhode Island at the office of probation on the outstanding warrant. Westport Car Employee Charged In A Number Of Thefts

On 01/14/2019, an employee of Honda of Westport reported a larceny by a former employee. The complainant reported a customer had provided a $5,000 cash deposit to a former employee, Ryan Riggs, for a down payment on a vehicle. The dealership found no record of the down payment or of a vehicle hold for the customer. The customer was able to show the withdrawal from her bank account as well as several text messages she exchanged with Riggs regarding vehicles. Riggs had also cashed a check in excess of $1,000 intended for another customer. An arrest warrant application was submitted for Riggs and later approved. Westport News: Butt Bust

#Westport CT-- On 01/04/2019 at approximately 5:30am, officers responded to Riverside Sunoco on a report of a burglary, after a fuel delivery driver observed forced entry to the door of the business. The suspect stole more than $5,000 worth of cigarettes and caused over $1,400 in damage to the cash register and door. The suspect was later identified as Christopher Dahlinger of Trumbull, CT. An arrest warrant application for Dahlinger was submitted and later approved. On 03/27/2019, Dahlinger was arrested at Norwalk Superior Court on the outstanding warrant. He was charged with 53a-103 Burglary 3 rd , 53a-124 Larceny 3 rd and 53a-115 Criminal Mischief 1st. Dahlinger was held in lieu of $65,000 court set bond and was to be arraigned…
