Westport News: Kings Highway Bridge Roadwork
Westport, CT - Public Works Director Peter Ratkiewich announced that the first phase of work on the Kings Highway Bridge over Willow Brook will be commencing on or about February 24. This first phase will involve the installation of a 36-inch diameter sleeve underneath the existing bridge to accommodate a 24-inch waterline. This is an important first step in the effort to replace the existing bridge later on in 2020. In order to facilitate the work, it will be necessary to close Kings Highway at the actual bridge location. 2020-02-11--#Bridgeport CT--Bridgeport Police assisted the Bridgeport Department of Public Health at J & J Variety Store, located at 3145 Main Street for the insurance of a to Bridgeport City Chapter 8.20.330 Ordinance violation, "No grocery store, bakery, meat market or other establishment selling food or any other substances used or intended to be used for human consumption off the premises shall be maintained in the city unless licensed by the Director of Health and Social Services. The establishment was operating without Bridgeport Health Department Food Establishment and Tobacco licenses. Bridgeport News: Five Youths Arrested In Stolen Car-Pursuit/Mahunt
Police UPDATE: Police UPDDATE: Patrol officers observed an occupied stolen vehicle in the area of Howard Avenue and Railroad Avenue. Gang Task Force became involved and the pursuit ended at 2104hrs just after the stolen vehicle struck the Gang Task Force Vehicle. Five juvenile occupants were all apprehended by a collaborated effort by the Gang Task Force, Patrol Officers, and K-9 Officers. The juveniles were later released to their parents on Juvenile Summons. 2020-02-12@9:00pm--Bridgeport Police say three juveniles were arrested around 9 PM Tuesday at Bostwick Avenue and Pine Street in a stolen car. K-9 officer helped police arrest one of the suspects after a foot pursuit/manhunt near the U-Haul facility.

Norwalk News: Apparently There Is $20K In Jewels At Kohl’s And Police Need Your Help
#Norwalk CT--On January 27, 2020 at around 9:00 am a male entered Kohl’s Department Store on Connecticut Avenue in Norwalk and smashed a display case, he then stole approximately $20,000 in jewelry. The suspect fled the scene in a vehicle with New York Plates. This investigation was assumed by the Detective Bureau and is being investigated by Detective Fitzmaurice. Surveillance photos of the suspect are attached to this release. Anyone who recognizes the individuals pictured or has information regarding this crime is asked to contact Detective Dan Fitzmaurice.
