Sexual Assault Suspect Arrested On November 15, 2025, members of the Norwalk Police Department Patrol Division responded to a report of two juveniles who were sexually assaulted. The suspect was reported to be a former family acquaintance. The investigation was assumed by the Special Victims Unit, where Detective Rodriguez identified the suspect as Francisco Rodriguez-Posligua. Following an extensive investigation, Detective Rodriguez developed probable cause and applied for an arrest warrant, which was issued by Stamford Superior Court. Bridgeport Man Arrested After Police Pursuit Into Trumbull

The Bridgeport Police arrested a city man Thursday for numerous recent domestic violence assaults after he was pursued into Trumbull and briefly hid in the woods there. Angel Montanez, 24, had an active felony warrant when he was spotted by a Bridgeport officer driving north on the 25/8 Connector shortly before noon. Montanez abandoned his car shortly thereafter and was taken into custody in a residential Trumbull neighborhood near the border with Monroe. On April 20, 2026, at 8:59 AM, Norwalk Combined Dispatch received a report of a psychiatric complaint. The caller, who was outside the residence, reported that her 20-year-old son, David Erik Wenger, was inside the home and threatening to harm himself. The caller further advised that Wenger had previously made statements about attempting “suicide by cop” and was extremely agitated. Officers responded to the scene and confirmed that no other individuals were inside the residence. Upon arrival, officers observed Wenger on the porch, armed with a saw and a knife, and bleeding from his hand. At approximately 1:50 PM, police received a complaint of two individuals removing packages from residential properties. Responding officers locate the suspect vehicle in the area and identified the occupants as Teon Thomas, 24, of Rochester, NY, and Dawud Gause-Seignious, 23, of Wyandanch New York. Through the investigation, officers determined that the suspects were involved in a scheme using fictitious names to order energy efficient thermostats through a rebate program and have them delivered to residential addresses in Fairfield. On 12/27/2025, Fairfield Police responded to a residence on Mill Plain Road for a report of an unresponsive male. Despite lifesaving efforts, the individual was later pronounced deceased. The scam caused changes in bank wiring instructions and the diversion of a large sum of money to a bank in Washington rather than to the contractor's bank account. Through a lengthy investigation, multiple search and seizure warrants, and working closely with the contractor and multiple banks, a suspect was identified as Matthew Patterson. The majority of the funds were frozen, seized, and returned. An arrest warrant was obtained for Matthew Patterson.
