#Stratford, CT -- Mayor Laura R. Hoydick  announced that the Town of Stratford will host this year’s Veterans’ Breakfast on Wednesday, May 22, 2019. The annual event, which has provided breakfast for more than 1,000 veterans since 2012, is scheduled to start at 9 a.m., and will be held at Vazzano’s Four Seasons in Stratford. #Westport CT--Yinri Tirado of Norwalk, CT, was arrested on 04/12/2019 after a 16 year old female walking along the Saugatuck River reported a man approached her and made a lewd comment. Westport News: Fowl Play

#Westport CT--On 04/12/2019 at approximately 11:30 pm, the victim reported an illegal dumping complaint on Franklin Street. The victim’s property had been the site of several recent illegal dumping incidents in which a suspect has left boxes containing decapitated chickens. The victim reported a suspect just dropped a bag on his property and was running south on Franklin Street towards Saugatuck Railroad Station. The bag was found to contain two decapitated chickens and one white pigeon.   Corporal Smith located the male, identified as Ajamu Obataiye, at the train station. The victim’s home surveillance footage confirmed Obataiye was the suspect. Mayor Ganim to Launch New Street Sweeping Program

Bridgeport, CT—As apart of Bridgeport’s beautification initiative “Park City Pickin’ It Up,” Mayor Ganim will launch a new Street Sweeping Program on Wednesday, May 1, 2019. The revised Street Sweeping Program states citywide street sweeping will occur twice a month compared to once a month.  The sweeping will now also coincide with resident’s assigned recycling day to allow residents to know exactly what day and times streets will be swept. Fairfield News: Home Invasion Suspect Caught After Pursuit

2019-04-30 @ 2:08pm--#Faifield CT--One suspect is in custody after radio reports said was a home invasion in the Coventry/Catamount area off Redding Road.  Taken at knifepoint were the victim's earnings and cash.  Police caught up with the suspect who took off on a pursuit onto Black Rock Turnpike after he had given police his ID card.  The pursuit continued onto the Merritt Parkway.  When speeds reached 90 mph Fairfield Police terminated the pursuit since they had his identification.  The suspect got off the Jefferson Street exit and the purist was back as he headed south on Stratfield Avenue where he bailed on foot on Davis Street.  K-9 from surround towns were brought in and the suspect was located hiding under…
